ok the plot thickens
just spoke to a nice lady who spoke to claire usher...
aparently I cant get insurance round here for a car worth more than
£12k unless its garaged!.. however in 3 - 4 weeks time they will be
set up themselves (some new insurer/underwriters thing that I dont
actually understand much about but it sounded good) and they will be
able to insure me under their own terms and conditions instead of
their clients (AON, etc)..
£271 for me then.. if garaged, 5000 limited miles. so I guess now I
just have to wait a couple weeks :) at which point it should be around
£300 for around the same mileage, parked on the driveway.
I guess if i get the car before they are setup, I'll have to get
temporary cover under my current insurer (diretline) for 2 or 3
weeks.. they probably have a fixed ammount for that so it shouldnt
dent my pocket too much, but hey, i'll be road legal!
