[doc] Bonnet/hood Locked, Cable Broke cannot get in - HELP!

MOT on wednesday but cannot open bonnet at the mo.  The cable had been 
bodged with a nut on the  end rather than the original stopper...the 
bolt has come off....aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

After poking for an hour i have no success.  any magic tips.  If i 
cannot put fuel in i will not make it to the mot garage...oh no

Please say there is a magic solution
