RE: [doc] Registering a us d for uk roads

Your ever friendly (sarcasm) DVLA local office will not even consider
giving you a registration without form C&E386 which is basically a
Customs Form saying that the taxes on the car have been paid ? Luton VRO
wouldn?t register Flopsy without this.  As WT Shipping had never given
it to me when we?d collected her from Tilbury in October 2002, I had to
drive all the way there to collect it then take it to Luton VRO ? this
was to get the car registered in time for Gaydon 2003.

Chase up your shipping company for this form as soon as possible.  Also,
you?ll need a V55 from the DVLA to apply for your registration, plus the
DVLA first registration fee of £38 plus a cheque for your road tax.
Simple! ;o)

Good luck,

Claire
