Re: [doc] In or Out?

Well, mine is an 'in' - as part of the 'getting the DeLorean' project
that started nearly 5 yrs ago, it included building a garage to put
her in - well, more acurately 2/3 demolishing some existing
outbuildings and coverting to a garage (plus loads of work making
access through the back of existing garage).
Problem I do have - I fitted a nice new retractable garage door,
standard width 6'6" - now, we all know a D is wide, and I was pretty
confident I'd have no problems reversing it in with 3" to spare each
side ... then of course on 6772 arrival, reality bites - yes, I can
get it in ... JUST and only with the wing mirrors folded in, and what
can you see out of the back of a D' ... with the mirrors folded,
absolutely nowt. So, for the time being 6772 gets pride of place at
the side of my better half's Corsa and my Avantime is in the new
garage. Next step, rip out the brand new garage door and buy another
one, a roller door that doesn't need a frame giving 3" more space
each side. Expensive oversight :-)
So, point is ... you need a decent width garage door!
