Yep I did/am changing it as we speak, so I too am changing it from 
the original setup although I am trying to keep it OEM looking as 
possible.

But much like your situation, my interior was shagged to start with 
so I had the oppertunity to improve upon the original. 

I suppose at the end of the day it is personal choice, (back-peddle, 
back-peddle :-) )
