I've driven (still own) both, but of course I don't go "tare A**ing"
around like you youngsters. 
 
I'm very happy with my Auto box, in fact the rest of my fleet are all
Auto's. My LWB Daimler has a 5 speed Auto, with its variable valve
timing, V8  4 litre engine, it goes like stink!  It's a bit like a
"mobile gentleman's club on acid"...(not that I know, or want to know
anything about drugs)!
