Ah, that was by Blur, I think it was called 'Song 2'. 
I'm showing my age now, but I saw Blur supporting Julian Cope
(Teardrop Explodes) at a student gig at the Cambridge Junction in
1990....if only I'd thought then "I know, I'll get that Damon Albarn's
autograph, then one day somebody will invent the internet and this
great thing called eBay...".
