RE: [doc] FW: eat your hart out JR[Scanned]

Were the tan cars, all leather, or part leather, part vinyl? Just curious.

Stephen.

Any tan ones for sale?

Unfortunately Stephen,
This is the black interior.

The other was a tan one, and the 3rd , last car, car assembles out of
panels, I believe was also tan.
So 2 tan, 1 black,

With the exchange rate so damned good right now (1.85 dollars to the UK
Pound) there's never been a better time to get Gold Delorean for less than
£95,000. Little out of my league right now, but perhaps there's an English
car collector with money to loose? I always liked the saddle brown leather
interiors on those gold cars, was it all leather or was vinyl used as well?

Regards to all,

Stephen.

hello all,
Today I have been in and around Dallas and yes I have stood on
the grassy knoll ( although I have no idea how they keep it so grassy with
so many people walking on it!) and very surreal it was I had driven down the
road before I realized where I was, I knew I was close but not that close, I
have been to the sixth floor museum and I have taken video from the window,
this is not allowed but no one noticed. When I arrived It was quiet and the
stretch of road in question seemed much shorter than on the infamous
footage. I then went north of Dallas and headed towards a place called
south fork ranch, it was on a free map I had from tourist information, I was
close ( and found a hotel called south fork ranch) but there was no
information on the real south fork ranch, so I plodded on and stopped at a
"gas station" to ask I, did fill my car up and by some sweets but the man
who spoke very little English had no idea what I was talking about, as there
are no brown tourist road signs here I gave it up as a bad job knowing that
I would be able to find it on the internet, Indeed I have and I'm going in
the morning and it open as a tourist museum, so hopefully I'm going to get
to drive down the driveway at the side of the house and have one or two
photo opportunities, I remember watching the opening titles to Dallas and
remember the helicopter flying over the drive, and I thinking I would like
to be there! lets see what happens!
Andrew.

Andrew phoned me yesterday and related his visit the Snider Bank in Texas.
He again was pulled up by a police car who checked his documents ( all OK)
but when Andrew told the officer he was on his way to the bank, to look at
the Gold Car, the officer said "well you are not going to do 40 miles in
15mins before they shut"! "I know the manager, I'll phone him and see if he
'll stay open a bit later for you". He did and Andrew was able to have a
good look and take plenty of photo's.
His biggest surprise was that the manager and staff wanted to see Andrews
"Silver DeLorean", they said it was about 10 years since they had a chance
to see one! Andrew ended up taking them all for a spin around the block!!!
The car Gold Car is for sale currently $175,000.00 USD. Ant one fancy a
bit of history?
