RE: Turbos, new book, Insurence

Martin,
Its definitely a BAE kit, the clue is in the BAE cast into the bottom air
duct pipe! I've just removed that for re- polishing and seen it.

I'm going to get the car going with it fitted and then Decide if I want to
leave it on Frenchy or remove it for later fitting on Delores when I restore
it, in years to come.

I have fully polished all of the inlet manifold to go with all the rest of
the polished turbo pipes, when its all fully fitted, it will look the
business!

I found out that they ( the Factory) did indeed fit a turbo on a RHD for
evaluation purposes in 1981, This work was all done in the DMC Coventry
workshop. Details and photo's in the new book.

BTW after sorting out my insurance problems, thanks to www.sureterm.com ,
I'm thinking of driving Backy to Gaydon, instead of Delores, it depends a
bit on the weather.

Just received today together with my valuation letter - thanks Chris.
Also got your photos of the French car - from the pics of the exhaust,
it looks like the BAe kit which is what Tony has.
