MOT Fail ......

Hi Claire

Took #5959 in for the MOT and to have have the TABS changed that 
Martin supplied, together with bleeding the brakes. There was also 
slight whine / growl from the bearings/caliper that developed over 
the last week.

The bad news is that the whine / growl from the front was the wheel 
bearing being loose as the stub axle was loose and the wheel bearing 
was shot. Their was 1/2 inch movement in lateral movement in the 
wheel. The wheel could have come completely off! not good. So it 
failed the MOT. 

The good news is that the old TAB bolts were in perfect condition. so 
it would seem that #5959 has not been thrashed on a track. 

The earliest they can work on it again is Thursday as I could not get 
the bearing for them today. So I cannot make Harpenden unfortunately,
