New biusness/ loosing weight/ importing cars

Firstly, I'd like to whish Dave and Martin all the best in there new venture. (I don't say good Luck, because it has very little to do with luck). Itcan only be a good thing for club members to have a specialist repairer available.

On the subject of "good luck" My leader at "Weight watchers" wished me "good luck" when I signed up in Mid Feb, she frowned at me when I said "its nota question of luck, its what passes my lips that count"!

For anyone who's interested I'm now 41lb lighter 4 months on, just another20 lbs to go.
I'm afraid the "growing body of men joke" in the BBC DeLorean filming and the pictures of me at the Belfast Sports Car show, shamed me into much delayed action. I feel much better for it and now run around like a 10 year old!

Regarding Ferry fees, my Jeep and 6 metre trailer, day return :-
P&O over Â400
Sea France via agent Â294
Sea France Direct Â47 !!!!

We are staying overnight in Dover and setting off at 06.00 next Tuesday. Returning the same Evening. I'll then see what I've bought!!!

All the best

Chris Parnham

By the way, some of the prices I got quoted with the trailer were
horrendous Â300+. I eventually went with P&O/Stena because I signed up
with their on-line service and was able to buy a 3-day return instead of
a 5 - I presume you'll be staying over one night? I think it came to
Â115 in the end.

Martin
