Re: [doc] Starting problems

Thanks Kevin, I'll have to get a voltmetre and try it out. I'm sure it will be the battery has only been in since christmas! Is an earth strap hard to install?

Hi Jordan

Can you measure the voltage on the battery directly, if it is around 12
volts then put an earth strap in.

Regards

Kevin

Hi all,

I went to start my D today and yet again it wouldn't start. The
engine turned over a couple of times then stopped. The battery gauge
reads less than 8 but everything electrical works, even the cooling
fans???? I'm sure it's not the battery because it's just had a new
one and the problem only seems to have started since it's got cold.
I've read something about the cold start valve but didn't really
understand it. Is there any way to stop this happening for good?

Thanks,

J
