quick answer is Yes.... and No. Darren 
was explaining to me how this sucker works. It's basically a servo motor 
controlling a variable valve (and I know you know all about servos) so whenyou 
unplug it, it stays where it last was. What it can't then do is adjust for AC 
coming on, higher loads on alternator etc. If your engine is hunting and you 
unplug it, the engine should stop hunting strait away M
