Interestingly Darren took one look at my starter and said words to the affect of "wow, that's big". Apparently the starter on the Renault engines is much smaller. Could have something todo with why the DMC ones are renowned for lasting so long. (unless you soak them in water, that is)

 

BTW Paul, that Incredi-mail you use is a bit of a pain - it puts page breaks in that you can't delete. Unless anyone complains in the next day or so, I'll be setting Yahoo to use plain text only (just means your posts get converted if they're submitted as HTML, you're not blocked!). I'm also in two minds about continuing to allow attachments - what does everyone else think? I'm on modem dial-up at home and it can get quite frustrating when emails get mahoosive.

Well the good news is this morning I picked up my starter and popped it straight back in and she fired on the button... M you were right she sounds totally different on cranking now.
