Martin,
you know I'd be very interested in having that system on my car, even at earlier developmental stages. Whatterned you round to the remote start option, thought you were against thatone?

Subject: [doc] Braided clutch and brake lines
Hi Guys
In my work on the robots, I've made a very good contact which is a
company who make all kinds of hydraulic hoses. This includes for
automotive use. Chris, do you have an OEM clutch line and/or brake
flexi-hoses? I'd like to see how much it'd cost to get them copied in
stainless braided line. I wouldn't use the hoses.
Considering I've got myself 2m of 1/2" braided petrol hose for my fuel
tank pickup for the grand sum of £6 I'm quite confident we can get
several made for a song.
I've also made a very good contact of a Laser Cutting company - who work
in stainless all the time. If you want any custom designs made, just get
them to me in diagram form. The chances are we'll get them for nothing
(you know the pattern on the side of our robot? go figure.... )
The project I've currently got on the boil for the DeLorean is a fully
integrated alarm system, remote start, remote locking and remote door
launchers. The system is based on an off-the-shelf system from the US,
but I'm building some electronics allowing the same keyfob to control
the doors too. It's making a nice inexpensive challenge.I intend to
house my "box" inside the door lock module box- I've redesigned the
door lock module itself completely, so it'll now fit on one corner of
the same board. The door launchers use the wiring for the lock
solenoids, and the interface to the alarm box will be a mere two wires
in addition to the stock loom.
