I have finally got around to looking into why my
drivers side window does not go up and down, however I can hear the motor
turning.
After removing the whole mechanism the 'Worm drive'
that turns to move the window, is Knackered. i.e. down around the motor gears it
is actually broken with two to three inches missing. The motor however is
in fine running order.
Does any one out the have an old one with a burnt
out motor they may be looking rid of that I could acquire? Or can I just
purchase the 'Worm Drive' and gears somewhere????
