About one and a half inches/ two inches at the front, about 1" at the
rear..it all depends what (and how warn, the springs are you are comparing
it with.
The ride is softer, not harder, I believe this is because with the Yankee,
Ralph Nader inspired ,universal bumper height. The suspension was suddenly
working above its Lotus design height, therefore it had to work
"over-centre" which, in its self caused harshness.
Its definitely a softer, but more controllable ride..in one word BETTER,
that also happens to make the car look better, and make the view over the
bonnet a lot better. I think we ought to consider a new set of 4 shockers,
from DMC Huston, but possibly consider new "local" lower springs,for the
front, if cost is an issue. ( sorry James). If money is not a problem get
the full kit via Wingray at £700 plus vat.
