No its the connection from the starter to the balast resistor. Ive been told some cars do not have the relay. I think the factory installed them but 1 or 2 people have removed them. In most condition cars will start fine but in more extreme circumstances the 'hotter' spark will help. They relay was added at the last minute and is not documented but prevents feedback to the Cold Start circuit.

Does the manual have one chris?

Chris,
I think that relay is for Auto's only.

Is there anyone on the list who's car does NOT have a relay at the rear of the engine compartment on the left hand side just by the balast resistors. If you car is missing this relay ie you just have an empty socket, have you had any problems starting the car?

Thanks
