The Thatcham event sounds fantastic and I only regret I couldn't be there.
As the CD player, if you want to play MP3's (and therefore carry no CD's
around at all), Apple do a neat little wireless device which also transmits
the iPod contents to your radio which I use, but I find the casette fixed
wire connection better.  The iPod sits neatly in the ashtray (or whatever
that little slidy compartment is) in the central console.
Unfortunately the only £50 iPods are stolen ones.
There are some reasonable s/h ones on ebay, though.

  No MP3?s Tony,
John is thinking of importing a few more if there is enough interest.
I can send a picture to anyone who is interested, and I may include a
  photo in the next mag.

It was an interesting visit, Chris.  I shall try to record Meridien
  tomorrow
night.  The cd player sounds good.  Does it do mp3s and where could I
  get
  one?

I'd just like to thank all the DOC members who took the trouble to
attend the Thatcham event. The 5 cars made a good display for the Motor
industry guests and the TV folk. I was absolutely kn###ed when I got
home, having woken up at 03.00 and got up shortly after!
A special thanks to John Chapelhow who drove all the way from Wigan!!!
John was good enough to bring me a portable, wireless CD player, which
can transmit its stereo output direct to your "Genuine original DeLorean
  Radio".
I have been playing with it all afternoon and its still on its first two
penlight batteries. It does come with an in-car power plug, head phones
etc. The cost is less than £50. Being fully portable it can of course go
in any car, or in your pocket. I'm very impressed with it.
