Hi All,

Well 4754 now starts and runs, albeit at 2000 RPM.  It was the solenoid.
The contact bar was burnet out and bent.  I had it reconditioned and tested
for ￡30 and she now starts every time on the first turn of key.  There is a
man in Bexley in Kent who has all the parts for almost all Paris-Rhone
starters in stock and he managed to turn mine around in 2 hours !!!

Thanks all for the help and thanks for the offer of the starter Chris but I
hope that I’ve fixed it.

Now on to sorting out that 2000 RPM tick over, anyone got any ideas.  The
throttle is closed ?
