I agree because my car had similar symptons.
If you get less then 9v at the coil then you lose the sparks at
the spark plugs and with no sparks the engine stops.

Have your battery load tested. Any garage/ parts store should do this
for nothing.

BTW the engine could run fine but if extra loading is applied such as air-con, lights then this can cause a voltage drop if the alternator is not supplying enough running current. The main voltage on my car is 14.4volts when idling with nothing turned on but with all ancillaries on this dropped to 11.8v which is indicative of an under spec alternator (my 70Amp Ducellier!) which as you know is a known problem ! You can measure battery voltage using the jump start post in the engine compartment.
