Hi Thomas,
Just had a look at the car on ebay and looks like the car has been
abandoned somewhere, I loved the, "interior needs a little work"
comment, that said interiors are fixable. My big
concern is that it has not been registered in 3 years, so likely has
not been run, serviced or generally looked after. There are signs in
the engine bay of sitting moisture, so probably sat under a tarp for
the three years, lets say it's not your typical california car! My
second concern over the three year issue is that when you ship the
car you have to provide (to your shipping agent) a bill of sale and
DMV "pink" slip this has not got one so that would have to be
arranged before shipping, however there are a few members who have
shipped non running cars from the US so perhaps they may have an
insight as to how to get round this problem?? That said for £4k
what
do you expect, remember 5% vat and shipping costs (see latest doc
mag for details)Finally make sure you have long term storage here
your going to need it, this could be a sizable project, on the
upside you will have a DeLorean!!
Best of luck
