I'm glad to see that Steve understands.
I don't want an unrealistic amount; I have a 1981 Stage II car with under 40,000 miles and full documentation to show that EVERYTHING on the car has been replaced, upgraded, or is in excellent shape.
I know that I'll never get back what I spent on the car, but I would like to get over $25,000 for it.
I don't think that's an unreasonable amount and, accordingly, I've been asking $30,000 for the car; with the intent of taking the first offer over $25,000.
Though, it seems that the market isn't there for these cars. I'm starting to think that my best bet is to keep driving the car everywhere, opt for full coverage insurance, and hope for an engine fire or distracted driver if I want to get anywhere near my asking price...
It amazed me that people were interested and purchased a few of DMCH's cars at $57,500, but I can't get HALF of that for one with everything theirs has and more.
