[DML] Custom LED lights - anyone interested?

Hello everyone,
I've had a lot of free time lately because of the endless cold winter here
in Poland. So, I came up with a custom LED conversion for the door lights. I
know that there are LED replacement bulbs available out there and they are
inexpensive, but I never liked the way they work and look. It's usually a
few small 3mm LEDs stuck together with a resistor to limit current. They are
OK... but for me OK is not good enough. The resistor works as intended only
at the voltage it was chosen for. Lower voltage will cause the LEDs to dim
quickly, higher voltage will burn them out. Plus, they are a generic product
meant to replace the 5W bulb in whatever light you want to use it in. Not
for me.
I created a custom solution with a square circuit board and four LEDs with
three LED chips in each for a total of 12 LEDs. The current is controlled by
an IC to make sure the LEDs do not burn out and they shine with full
brightness from 10.4V all the way up to over 30V. Even jump starting the car
will not harm them.
The question is if there will be enough interest to start the production of
those kits. For now I only have made one set for my own car. This is a
prototype set to see how it works and looks. I am very happy with the
results.
Check out my little website and look at the pictures, read the description
and let me know if you are interested. If we get a few people interested I
will move the project forward. If not... My set will be the only one in
existence.

The kit is NOT AVAILABLE at this time. I will start production if there is
enough interest in the product.
Disclamer - The idea for the lights, the circuit, the board layout and
manufacturing is all done by me. The boards are manufactured by an
electronics manufacturing company here in Poland. The LEDs and the regulator
chip are high quality components imported from China. I chose quality parts,
not the cheapest parts available!
At the same time I'm working on a LED conversion for the side marker lights.
Anyone interested? I will post some pictures and description on my site in
the next couple of days. This project will require replacing the entire
light assembly as the original socket required only a small round hole. I
can convert your lights or convert new OEM light for you.
Each side marker light will use 6 LEDs with 3 chips each for a total of 18
LEDs. Total power consumption will be around 1 watt. OEM light bulb uses 5
watts!
Let me know if you are interested.
Thank you,
Greetings from Poland!
