I've had a very poor experience with Hagerty. A while back when I was still
living in Florida I called them and ask them about insuring my D. They asked
a bunch of questions and transferred the call to a supervisor. The
supervisor asked me if I will be staying in the country or if I'll be moving
because "I believe I hear a slight accent". When I told them that I'm
thinking about moving in the next two maybe three years they simply refused
to sell me any insurance. They said that they are not interested because
they are looking for long time customers that will be with them for at least
five years.
So, I don't like them and I will never recommend them to anyone. It seems
that you have to speak perfect American English or you are not welcomed. I
was surprised that my called was transferred to a supervisor because I
didn't sound 100% American. That is just poor business practice in my
opinion.
