[DML] Re: Fuse box replacement

In the early days when the LUCAS wiring harness seemed to be the DeLorean's worst enemy, many of us discovered that the battery was causing many of our problems - especially if it was on a trickle charger. It was just below the fuse box and relays and is not sealed well at all. Battery gases were very corrosive and ruined many connections throughout the electrical compartment. So, solder or not, in my opinion, unless you use a vented battery that you can vent outside of the car, use an Optima battery or, you don't drive the car everyday to keep the gases cleared out, you are going to have electrical connection problems in the electrical/fuse compartment.

New cars produced today dont incorporate this tiny bit of additional connectivity, and it seems to be adding difficulty and risk (burning carpets, trim, etc) to the task. Why bother? Its easy enough to remove a crimp without cutting wires should an issue ever arise in the future.
