There is a wide difference of opinion by the citizens and by Congress as to the 
direction our country needs or will go. The voters hopefully will make that 
decision and determine the direction this November after a months of campaigning 
and debates by the candidates, just as was done in 2008 and 2010. I believe our 
republic will pull through and hopefully the election will result in the 
selection of officials from both parties that will work together, compromise and 
put the common good above party politics. I look forward to honest debate by the 
candidates, however those of us who are students of debate recognize that name 
calling is the lowest form of debate and is used in lieu of facts and in lieu of 
rational and abstract thought.
