The intermediate shaft does not connect to the steering wheel does it Bill? By the definition you just linked to the column is the bit in the cockpit.
As for the rest; I think you'll find mine is cheaper and doesn't include a pointless flex coupling...
You've still avoided giving us any benefit to this flex coupling other than "making it the same as other cars"

Are you sure you're not just upset that I am sourcing whatever you want to call the connection between my steering wheel and the rest of the steering mechanism directly from a manufacturer rather than from a middle man retailer like yourself?
