Bah,  for many years we had good ole "Steering boxes", with a pitman arm.. Millions of cars still on the road with them!  Who needs this new fangled Rack-and-pinion crap?  Rip that out and throw in an old Ford steering box!  I bet it will handle better than an Audi TT!  :)
