Just because something is Made in USA does not necessarily mean it is ipso facto
higher quality than a similar product made elsewhere -- which never was John's
and David's arguments against made in china starters BTW. Like products made in
any country, some American products are high quality and some are crap.
American hand tools are very high quality -- certainly higher quality than made
in china hand tools. Likewise American taps & dies are much higher quality than
made in china counterparts. Buying American in both of those instances not only
supports domestic industry, but also gives you a better product. That was my
argument.
I also mentioned Annin flags, which are very high quality as well. Next time you
need a flag, try one -- you will be pleasantly impressed.
