Good point Kevin For those of you that are new to the list DCS is DeLorean Car Show and Convention it is incorporated and its been in business since 1996 with the first show in 1998. DCS as Kevin points out is the abbreviated form and its a totally non profit orginization that works to promote the DeLorean marquis. The show is a way of getting all local groups and individuals together at one location once ever other year and it has been on this DML since the DML was formed. It is about owners and their cars and the show is dedicated to the owners. It is there because of the support that this list and the local organizations provide. Without you there is no show. The show is done by all volunteer help. For more information go to www.Deloreancarshow.com At the show we have something for everyone and promote the car, the creator JZD and BTTF Since the early shows we have tried to have guests from the factory that can give us first had experiences of what it was like to work for DMC and we have the movie side with the actors and cast members of BTTF. all of the past show are listed on the web page. And I don't think there is any confusion here. I responded to an earlier post by Chris directly (not on the list to avoid conflict) and others explained what DCS is. Most of you on this list have either met me personally, had me work on your cars or inspect them at the events. Many of you have bought raffle tickets over the years and we do have about 2000 of you on the mail list for DCS that only goes out to people that have responded before. My last response to Chris HI Chris Are you upset with my posting to the DML on rooms for DCS.? Your follow up post seemed to be directed at some of the other members. Not sure how to read this one as its seems to be mixed with other posts. Ken (note no reply from Chris) Bill responded (thank you Bill) DCS is a biennial (every two years) show, not annual -- there won't be any eMail messages next year. Moreover, this is the last year Ken is leading the show. Ken is not promoting himself as an individual -- he is promoting DCS as an event. The fact that DCS has sold out an entire hotel of rooms indicates reasonably widescale interest. Bill Robertson #5939 and from Mike just to pick a few responses from the last comments. Sorry Chris, but the DML supports Ken and the DeLorean Car Show. He is absolutely welcome to advertise the event here. -- Mike -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Abato <delorean@xxxxxxxxx> To: dmcnews <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Mon, May 14, 2012 10:27 am Subject: Re: [DML] REGISTRATION DCS 2012 Orlando I think the issue here is confusion. When Ken speaks at DMA events about DCS, I always remind him to start off by saying WHAT it is. We often have many new members who have never heard if the show, and have no idea what it is. Likewise, Ken's recent posts, although informative give no back story or information. Always using the acronym "DCS" makes sense to all of us, but had little meaning to those who don't know about the show.
