It's easier for the owner but $200.00 for the tank and 1 to 2 hours labor at
$120.00 / hr that's around $400.00 vs your 1 hr and $2.00.

tank.
-Seems pretty good to me. It's easy enough for an owner to do, but with an
hourly labor rate attached, it's probably cheaper for the owner to just have
the
tank replaced when it's at a DMC shop.

That stud is cast into the tank, there is no good way to replace it, and it
is
absolutely essential to hold an OEM baffle/pickup in place.
A straight down pump, however, will hold a tuna baffle (or any other can of
owner's choice) in place without the stud -- I know a K-Jetted owner who is
doing just that.
