That stud is cast into the tank, there is no good way to replace it, and it
is absolutely essential to hold an OEM baffle/pickup in place.

A straight down pump, however, will hold a tuna baffle (or any other can of
owner's choice) in place without the stud -- I know a K-Jetted owner who is
doing just that.
