Where can a spare pivot bolt be purchased, part number? Every owner with a 5-speed should have an extra pivot bolt kept in the car as a spare. I DID say he might need to open the transmission and do the roll pins but if you review my post you will see I did say to do adjustments and lubrication first. If that did not cure the problem he WOULD be going into the transmission. Bottom line-If you have to force something it is usually best to figure out what's wrong and fix it BEFORE it breaks and is a bigger (read more expensive) job to fix. If you do this too many times or too hard the first time, you can break the pivot bolt in the shifter levers and it can only be accessed from under the car. > I know because it happened to me. The mechanics wouldn't listen to me when I told them the shifter was out of adjustment. They went the way of the adjustable clutch link and that did not solve the problem.. > Gary Masie. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Tomciodmc > Date: Tuesday, May 8, 2012 4:31 am > Subject: Re: [DML] Trouble shifting in 1st and 2nd gear > To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > > Hi! > > > > Where do I find this video?
