Re: [DML] Trouble shifting in 1st and 2nd gear

The problem is people want me to fix stuff that isn't broke.

I asked a question, Farrar was kind enough to quickly respond and suggest checking Martins video about adjusting the linkage cable.

I went outside an adjusted the cable with the help of my lovely assistant. I drove the car to town and back an discovered the issue was fixed. While I was under the car I checked the gear oil and it wasn't low either.

I then went back in the house an sent a message to the DML thanking both Farrrar and Martin for the information.

I've been driving my fixed car for at least two days and since then about 20 messages have surfaced telling me to do stuff as extreme as rebuilding the transmission.

The problem is that people would rather me spend money to rebuild a transmission eater than try a few simple things first.

Over a year ago I installed a stainless clutch line, replaced the master and slave cylinders, replaced the fluid and bled the system. I forgot to mention that i checked the clutch fluid the other day and it was fine.

I'm thankful for all of those willing to help but the problem is already fixed. A of tight now I don't need a new transmission. Btw, I had a mechanic replace the shift linkage bolt about a year ago as well.
