You won't have clearance for a full length bolt with the A/C accumulator in the way. Even on the driver's side there isn't enough clearance for the bolt and a hammer swing.

You also could frig the threads up when the arm drops slightly as the old bolt is driven out (that's why you need beveled edges on the 1/2" bolt shanks -- the arm has to relocate itself as they pass through).

I did this myself when I added the fender washers (LCA's were already in place, and I didn't feel like removing them). For a couple dollars worth of Grade 2 bolts from Lowes or Home Despot, why push water uphill?

They're Grade 5 anyway -- just buy some 1/2" longer Grade 8's.
