I don't think the cars in Texas are using trigger wheels. 

Owen's car has a different manifold & throttle plate, but Shannon and Ian's cars are supposed to be nearly identical (Ian has slightly different camshafts, but Megasquirt gurus don't think they are causing the problems Owen is reporting).

The plan is to come up with a bolt on conversion -- a "kit" if you will. The Megasquirted owner I talked to yesterday does not think that is possible -- there is too much variation car to car, even if the fuel injection components are identical.

I found that thread by Googling "Megasquirt DeLorean problem" BTW -- it's the very first hit (among many others). This is a very public challenge they are struggling with.
