That's why all electronic fuel injection systems have a limp home mode if they
can no longer run closed loop. And you don't need to reboot these systems very
often if ever, even when working with the fuel maps.

Subject: [DML] Question for Megasquirt Users
Honest question:
When Megasquirt experiences a sync loss, system reset, or other electronic
control problem, does the engine stop running? If it does, how do you restart
the engine?
If I'm understanding Megasquirt correctly, you have to de-energize the car to
reboot the onboard computer. Turning the car off while it is moving doesn't seem
like a good idea because you could accidentally lock the steering wheel.
