Off topic? Not DeLorean related? Flames? (myself included). The only reason
that I haven't unsubscribed is because I'm in denial. I owe so much to this
list, it's hard for me to accept that this is what we've let it come to.
Instead, I'm reading about Fords, AMCs, and wherever else Bill leaves his troll
bait.
This might be the first time you've ever posted something I disagreed with,
Mike.

The thing about moderation, particularly lately, is that moderators only prevent
content from being posted that breaks the rules of the list. And aside from the
few spam messages that have gone through lately, there really hasn't been any
posts that break the rules.

How can the poll results be irrelevant? They are the feedback from the
community that uses the forum. Without the people, there is no need for
the forum.
Is there a lack of physical people willing/capable of doing moderation? If
not, then the poll served a purpose (as have several messages asking to have
it back and stop the spamming).

To paraphrase Mel Brooks - "Fuck the members!"
I'm increasingly disappointed in the stewardship of the DML in the past few
years. No real thought to the future, just the status quo (or worse,
outright neglect). Personally, I would rather see it shut down, and only the
archives preserved, than have it continue on as it is now.

The moderators didn't set up the poll. The results are pretty much
irrelevant.
