Andy, Fuel pumps are rated about 5 bar which equals about 72.5 PSI I have had several cars with that orange hose that is rated about 3000 psi if I'm not mistaken and people complain it's hard to work with and extremely stiff. The fuel line I have worked with since day one ( now going on 12 years ) is CARB rated and approved at 180 PSI working and 300 lb's burst. Easy to work with, small and flexible and has the fluoroelastomer/nitrile lining which you must have to work with fuel. With out this type of nitrile lining when using rubber line the rubber will deteriorate and come apart on the inside and stop up the distributor and fuel system. I'm pretty worried about the rest of the hose that I didn't cut off - it's probably going to leave me stranded somewhere, and while I love an adventure it will probably happen at a bad time LOL.
