I have been doing a ground up restoration and the car has no glass with both doors on without any issues.  Opened and closed hundreds of times without any distortion of any kind.  In fact I challenge anyone to see any stress on the car with or without the glass...

effort... 



I would also imagine that if you managed to rollover a Delorean (a feat in

and of itself) the doors themselves would provide a very good safety cage.

Through the windshield. If it weren't absent already, I could push it out
