Hey Bill - I apologize for causing you this big carb discussion again. I was just funnin with you and you know I love my carb setup.

One of the points you make is that the title is in your name and you can do with the car as you please. I agree wholeheartedly!

One of the joys I have with the car hobby is that I can just have fun and build a car the way I want. I'm 58 and have been building for 42 years. My current stable includes the Delorean, 70 SS396 Nova, 71 SS350 Nova, 27 T Traditional Rod, 54 Chevy Custom, 64 Impala Cruiser, 2 classic motorcycles, and 6 John Deere Tractors. I'll make a couple of points about my build on several of them. 

70 Nova SS396 - It is a nut and bolt correct car because that's the way I want it. It has more value to me in this condition. I see lots of Nova drag cars, supercharged cars, pimped cars and I appreciate what their owners have done and even take ideas from some of them, but I'm not going to try to convince them to fit into my box.

27 T Roadster Pickup - This car leans toward the rat rod side of the hobby and that's what I enjoy in this car. 53 flathead, 3 speed, '30 A grille, wide whites... it's a loud, rough, nasty ride, but the cool factor can't be measured. I admire the fully restored T's and am in awe that guys like Big Daddy Roth took cars like this and made show queens out of them, but my preference for this car is the way I built it. I enjoy doing it the way I do it.

When it comes to carbing the Delorean, I had one reason. I bought a car out of 17 years of storage. Even after hundreds of dollars of repairs on the fuel system, it would leave me stranded frequently. I want to drive the car and the carb setup made the most sense to get the reliability I wanted. I have kept all the parts and I have not written off converting back to KJet someday. Right now, my grandson and I tool around in our D and I can kill the engine at the Sonic and know it will restart again when we are finished with our milk shake.

I think folks should lighten up a little and have fun with their cars and not pick at others cars, or designs, or engineering quite so much. There are cars that I hate, but to the guy that took the time to do the car that way, it might be a crowning achievement in his life. Who am I to tell him that he did it wrong?
