Read up on what GM did to the Pacific Electric Railway.

In Great Britain, when you come to an unfamiliar city or town, the first thing you do is go to City Centre (that's where tourist information, the high street, etc are located). Just imagine some poor Brit innocently going into one of our inner cities....
