[DML] Using the DML as a Message Board

While at Louis' house the subject of DML interfaces came up. For those who prefer a message board format versus an eMailed digest, the DML can be used that way via Yahoo Groups. You start with one big common forum, versus a structure of subforums, but message thread structures are displayed at the bottom of the screen whenever a post is opened. Reading the DML via Yahoo Groups does allow you to pick and choose which posts to read (the first 3 lines of each post are displayed with ellipses following). I myself read the DML via Yahoo exclusively (no eMail digest).

Reading the DML via Yahoo also makes available photo albums and file storage areas (pretty much any file type). I don't think photos and files are accessible via the eMail digest.

And the Yahoo interface includes a DML search engine.
