Spoke with an owner earlier today who put his recently purchased DeLorean on the road -- literally -- for the first time in a decade or two (don't know why, but the first thing owners want to do as soon as their engine is running is drive around the block, NCT's and all). He ran the new fuel line a couple of weeks ago, so this morning's activity was basically bolting down the intake manifold and attaching his fuel delivery device to a shortened throttle cable (due to relocated throttle plates, his throttle cable had to be shortened. A big lazy bend in the original length cable doesn't work -- it binds). He also mounted a smaller fuel filter in a more readily accessible location. Anyway, one key turn, some last minute fiddling on Dad's part, then he was off to see if those destitute brakes had any life left in them.... Gotta love it. (He's a Yankee too, BTW -- New York).
