[DML] Are DMC Europe Parts Safe To Use?

I recently purchased some parts manufactured by DMC Europe, sold by DMC Midwest, and installed them on my car. Since DMC Europe and DMC Midwest both operate under the oversight of DMC Houston, I assumed these parts are safe for use. But some people are telling me that merely by installing these parts on my car, my car is now unsafe, that my insurance company is going to sue me, and all sorts of other dire predictions. I am naturally confused. Does DMC Europe manufacture safe products or not? Does DMC Midwest sell safe parts or not? Is DMC Houston approving safe parts or not?
Likewise, I purchased some parts from Heninger & Associates. While Heninger & Associates does not operate under DMC Houston oversight, I assumed that their 25 year business history (longer than DMC Houston's) indicated a similar level of confidence. The parts I purchased have been in production for more than a decade.
Perhaps I erred by combine the parts together? If that is the case, why are the people mentioned above not predicting similar catastrophes for an owner who made the same combination more than a year ago? Has something happened in the intervening 12 months that makes what used to be a safe combination now unsafe?
