I'll x3 (or whatever it is) - yes, this was a lot of fun!  I've been to a few of these before and this was the best, IMO.  As a result of all of the fun (and, I'll admit, a few late nights at the bar), I was dead tired on Sunday and completely worthless at work on Monday ;)

I thought Bill Haddad's speech was great!  He sure didn't sugar-coat anything (both the good and the bad), but I got the sense he was being honest.  I didn't have a chance to ride in the EV car, but I did ride with one of the DMCH techs in the supercharged car on the "test circuit" around the DMCH facility - it was very nice.  I don't recall too many times throughout the weekend when that car was parked, nor any time when it was being treated gingerly.  It's also a good thing that Houston PD didn't camp out on the US 59/Beltway 8 junction :)  That car was being beaten-up constantly (especially by Ed Uding at the track), which is great, IMO - it survived.

As Marc mentioned previously, it was nice that all of the DMCH staff showed up - I know that I detest even seeing my office on the weekends… then again, my job isn't nearly as interesting. I picked up a few things from talking to some of the techs and from Mike and Dave from DMC MW.  Thanks!

Also as an aside, since I was finally in Houston on a weekday, I did the NASA JSC Level 9 tour all day on Friday before the event started.  If anyone is interested in that sort of thing, I highly recommend it - it's definitely worth the price of admission.
