[DML] Re: ham radio antenna

David, I didn't get my first D on the road in order to think about things like a ham radio, but I believe there's a hole through the bulkhead on cars before a certain number (I'm sure someone will chime in), or you could just squeeze your coax through an existing grommet in the bodytub and route it towards the engine compartment where you could mount an antenna to the rail of your rear 1/4 panel.  If you could find or build a mount very similar to how the DMC luggage rack mounts attach I think that's the method I'll choose when I get my new D on the road.  If you have an antenna in your right front fender you could swap that out and replace your cars antenna with a Dakota Digital hidden antenna.  I've had one of those on my Impala SS for years and it works great (but they're only AM/FM AFAIK.
