Also it is not unusual for a DPO (dreaded previous owner) to have installed a switch in the console in one of the dummy positions. When you have custom modifications in the wiring you now have to be suspicious and assume there could be others. The entire wiring system should be looked over by someone who knows what is original and what is not. It is also not just a matter of slight color-blindness. When wiring gets old the colors get dull and it is harder to distinguish between them. It also gets harder to notice the tracer (stripe). When all else fails you can always "ring" each wire out and follow the wiring diagram.
