Thomas, I guess my question is why would the designer of the car, (Giogetto Giugiaro) and the engineers who put so much effort into building doors that work the way they do be disappointed in seeing us appreciate them? You are correct, the DeLorean does have a lot more to offer. So does any car, in fact. The stainless steel and the doors are a big part of what make it unique though. My personal, and of course, subjective opinion is that these should be celebrated, not ignored. Of course, I like the look of the car with the doors shut too! The front page of the website is simply an artist's photograph of our beloved car. Doors open.doors closed.it's still a DeLorean, and it has still captured many hearts, including mine, over the last 30 years. Just my two cents, Josh Josh Haldeman - Vice-President DeLorean Owners Association From: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Thomas Moon Sent: Monday, January 31, 2011 3:27 PM To: 'dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [DML] Get rid of the wings Just a thought... And people reaction much appreciated. Get rid of the gull wing doors on all front line promotional work for Deloreans? It is soo obvious. Without the doors popped open, the Delorean is a stunning car. With one open, it's quirky. With two open it's an over weight dragonfly. Should be beautiful, fast and sleek, but for some reason this one's metamorphosisied Into a flying slug. The Delorean has more to offer than it's doors!!. I'm writing partly after reading all the DOA posts, then checking out their website... Awful to the extreme. I'm pretty sure all the original designers will be turning in their graves to see so many pictures of the car they put so many man ours into ruined by pictures like this. ****** Sent from my Blackberry Disclaimer:- The information contained in this email and any attachments is confidential and may be legally privileged.
